How does ALHYDRAN work?
A disrupted skin barrier will lose too much moisture. The skin dries out and complaints will occur or get worse. Therefore this vulnerable skin must be assisted in order to function and heal.

What makes ALHYDRAN cream a good moisturiser compared to other products?
Humectants, occlusives, and emollients are key ingredients in a good moisturiser, and ALHYDRAN contains all three. Many other moisturizers do not have this combination. Humectants draw moisture into the skin, occlusives form a barrier to lock in moisture, and emollients smooth and soften the skin. This makes ALHYDRAN an effective choice for keeping skin hydrated and healthy.

You can use ALHYDRAN for as long as needed. Apply it three times a day during scar healing or as often as your skin requires. Scars can remain active and cause issues for up to 1.5–2 years, so regular use helps improve scar appearance and support healing. Once opened, ALHYDRAN has a shelf life of six months.
You can start applying ALHYDRAN when the skin (wound) is closed and when any scabs and stitches have been removed. To promote the recovery of the damaged skin, it is also possible to rub the surrounding skin of a wound with ALHYDRAN to promote the recovery of the damaged skin.
ALHYDRAN can be used from the age of 3 months. If your child is between 3 and 6 months old, it is advisable to discuss its use with the (treating) doctor.
Using a good scar cream in children is important. The sooner you start scar treatment, the better the end result at a later age. Use ALHYDRAN to reduce the chance of problems with scars in children.
